Evangelist Lady Grace
At that time you won't need to ask Me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and He will grant your request because you use My Name (John16: 23). In the above verse you will notice that Jesus was teaching His disciples how to pray effectively. In the proceeding verse He went on to say, "You haven't done this before. Ask, using My Name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy." What He's saying here is, before now you didn't have an advocate who was delighted in ensuring that your prayers get answered. Not that the Father didn't want to, but because the accuser stood between man and God. But, now we have an Advocate whose name is above every name so we don't need to pray asking anyone to speak on our behalf neither be worried of sin that separated us from the Father. All we have to do now, is pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus. Note also that He said, "you will ask the Father directly using My name." This is an important revelation truth of effectual prayer to understand. So now when you pray, don't pray to Jesus in His name for that is not what He instructed us to do. Rather, you should pray to the Father in the name of the Son and whatever you ask for, will be given to you because you ask in the Name of Jesus, Amen (so be it!).
